V1.00 Alpha
Sysop setup docs
----------------
To run AndroFight you need a Paragon/StarNet compatiable BBS and enough
memory and disk space!
First make sure DOORS: is assigned correctly. Then inside DOORS: make a
directory called AndroFight:
Makedir doors:AndroFight <--- should do the trick
Next copy all the files from this archive into the directory. If you are
upgrading from an older copy of AndroFight you currently shouldn't need to
change the data files. (This may change in the furture - See Update.doc)
Then make the necessary changes to your Doors.dat or Doors menu inside the
BBS.
Once that is done you can run the program called INIT, this will ask you a
few simple questions about the limits you want to set on the game, answer
ALL the questions and INIT will generate the data. Due to this being an
ALPHA release INIT isn't very 'clever' so be careful. It won't do any
damage UNLESS YOU enter silly values.... values of 20 for all setting is a
good starting place. The maximum possible number is 65536 or 255 on the MAP
length, BUT as that would generate just over 6 megs of data for EACH file
its a silly idea to enter that!
The finial thing to do before using the game is to put a call to upandro in
your midnight script, this program moves the ore deposits and refills them
so that players have to refind them EACH day.
And thats it for the Sysop end.
Please note that this is still an ALPHA release and there ARE bugs in it....
(See Update.doc) none of the bugs are fatal at the moment 8-) Please let me
know of any bugs you find.
Playing the game
